Underground Mine Tours
Experience copper mining as it truly was in the 1800's.
Thousands of years ago, prehistoric miners discovered pure copper in the rock outcrops of Adventure Bluff. They mined these outcrops for centuries and then vanished, leaving behind primitive tools, countless mining pits and more questions than answers. These ancient workings were later discovered by mid-1800's prospectors and became the locations for the numerous shafts and miles of tunnels excavated to become the Adventure Mine. From 1850 through the 1920's the Adventure Mining Company removed over a thousand tons of pure metallic native copper and silver, yet still more remains than has been taken away. Come join us and live history first hand and experience the world's greatest copper district in a way you have never seen it before!
