Visit the hatchery of Lake Sturgeon yearly at Gitche Gumme Landing, May until September. See how they grow from newly hatched eggs to approximately 7" in length when released into the Ontonagon River. Free tours, register at the gift shop.

The following highways take you to Ontonagon: M-38, M-64 or US-45, turn on River Street. Follow River Street to the north end of town, turn left on Ontonagon Street; Gitche Gumme Landing is where Ontonagon Street ends at the Ontonagon River.
