Fish Alpena and the beautiful Thunder Bay for Brown Trout, Lake Trout, and Chinook Salmon.

We offer all day or half day trips aboard the Trout Scout, it is a 30’ Grady White "Marlin Model with a Tuna Tower," a fully equipped fishing machine. It is outfitted with all the electronic gear, radar, depth recorder, fish graph, electronic thermometer, ship to shore radio and down riggers. We specialize in light tackle fishing for Brown Trout or Salmon. All tackle is furnished.

Captain Ed has 35 years experience on the Great Lakes and is a U.S. Coast Guard and Department of Natural Resources Licensed Captain. The Boat is inspected and licensed annually.

Captain Ed is a member of Lowrance Pro Staffer, Silver Streak, Walker Downriggers, Luhr Jensen and Shimano Tackle Research Teams, which means the customers will have the newest and best lures and equipment on the Great Lakes.

Alpena has motel or cabin accommodations. It is located on US 23 in Northern Michigan. Alpena’s airport is Phelps Collins and has full service.

We require a deposit to reserve the boat in advance with full refund if reservation is cancelled 7 days in advance. Full refund if unable to fish due to inclement weather. Bring license, warm clothing, and rain gear.
